JOIN THE THE TRENTON ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE AND SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE
OUTLINE FOR NEW MEMBERS
The Officers and the Board of Trustees manage the Parade Committee. The Trustees consist of five members who direct and manage the financial decisions for the committee. Officers of the Committee are the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and Corresponding Secretary. The Chairman runs the meetings, and with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees names all committees.
The Trustees and Officers manage the committee in accordance with the Parade Committee Constitution and By - Laws.
The Executive Committee at the reorganization meeting elects the Officers and Trustees annually in May.
The Parade Coordinator is separate from the officers and trustees. The Parade Coordinator’s job is to ensure the availability of the required number of parade marshals to direct and control the marching units. Confirm former parade participant’s current year participation, seek new units participation, assign marching positions, and manage the parade on the street.
The Parade Committee consists of two groups, the Executive Committee and Auxiliary Committee. New members are part of the Auxiliary Committee.
Only Executive Committee members vote on Parade Committee issues. Executive Committee members are required to attend all meetings and participate in all Parade Committee events. Auxiliary members are not required, but are encouraged to attend monthly meetings. The Board of Trustees selects Auxiliary Committee members for the Executive Committee based on their overall participation and support of the Parade Committee.
MISSION
The mission of the Parade Committee is to provide a parade that honors St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland.
Parade Committee funds are raised privately and in addition to the parade are used to fund the following scholarships: Miss
St Patrick, $2,000.00; Runner-up $1,000.00
MEETINGS
Meetings are held the SECOND TUESDAY of each month at the Hibernian Hall, 2419 Kuser Rd.
Hamilton. They start at 7:00 P.M.
